The `sounds/chime.wav` bundled with this package is a derivative of that
original: it was normalized and amplified (via `ffmpeg`) from peak −24 dB to
peak −6 dB / mean −21 dB so it is clearly audible without being harsh. The CC0
terms explicitly permit this kind of modification and redistribution with no
attribution obligation.
