# Angular Reactive Forms Patterns v14+

## Purpose

Use this skill for reactive forms in Angular 14+ projects where typed forms are available.

This version-specific variant makes typed forms the default assumption and keeps the guidance aligned with the first Angular release where typed reactive forms became part of the mainstream enterprise baseline.

## When to Use

Use this skill when:

- the project is Angular 14 or newer
- typed reactive forms are expected
- a forms refactor needs version-specific guidance
- the team needs a 14+ baseline for form architecture

## Do

Prefer typed controls and typed form groups.

Keep DTO mapping separate from the form model.

Use form state and validation as a workflow contract.

## Do Not

Avoid untyped reactive forms when typed forms are available and the project can adopt them.

Avoid version-agnostic recommendations that ignore Angular 14+ capabilities.

## Review Checklist

- [ ] Angular version is 14 or newer.
- [ ] Typed forms are used where appropriate.
- [ ] Validation remains testable.
- [ ] Mapping is separate from form state.

## Expected Output

When this skill is used, the agent should:

1. Confirm typed forms are available.
2. Recommend typed reactive form patterns.
3. Keep mapping and validation explicit.
4. Flag old untyped patterns when they are avoidable.
5. Produce version-aware form guidance.
