# Tooltip properties

## Tooltip ID

_`pie.tooltip.setId(str)` - Optional, defaults to `<SVGId>_tooltip`._

```JavaScript
pie.tooltip.setId(string); // Sets the id of the <g> element.
pie.tooltip.getId();       // Returns the id of the <g> element.
pie.tooltip.getHashId();   // Returns the id of the <g> element with '#' prefix.
```
