# `model.findOne`

Find a single document and call related hook: `schema.afterFind`

### Arguments

Same argument signature as [`model.find`](./find).

### Returns

A promise if no callback is passed in.

### Example

```js
user.findOne({ query: { name: "Martin Luther" }}).then(data => {
  // {..}
})
```
