# Format

A defined structure for data to rest in.  Some data is in a rigidly defined format (which is verifiable, mechanically parsable and has a schema).  Other data is loosely and/or informally formatted.  Language is a loosely formatted form of data.  Both have aesthetics; only one has poetry.
