# México (MX) — country dataset

**Status:** Seed dataset (v0.1.0-alpha.1).
**Coverage:** 75 operators across 8 sectors.
**Primary identifier:** RFC (`rfc-mx`).
**Adapter:** `src/adapters/mx.ts` (implemented).

## Regulatory landscape

México does **not** publish a unified federal registry of critical
infrastructure operators (OIV equivalents). Sectoral regulators keep
partial lists:

- **CNBV** — banking + securities (full bank RFC catalogue published)
- **IFT** — telecom + broadcast
- **CRE** — energy
- **CONAGUA** — water + sanitation
- **COFEPRIS** — health
- **SCT / SICT** — transport + digital infrastructure
- **AFAC** — civil aviation

Cybersecurity governance is exercised by **CERT-MX** under the **Guardia
Nacional**, with cross-cutting data protection under **INAI** (LFPDPPP +
LGPDPPSO).
