BAT uses Grunt to build your application. Its Gruntfile.coffee provides three main build tasks:

This task does a for-production, non-debugging, all-parts, minified build, plus deployable artifacts. It will run the following tasks:

• Clean: remove your previously built build results from the distribution artifact destination directory ('dist/')
• Coffeelint: delint your coffeescript - before transpilation to javascript
• Coffee_jshint: delint your coffeescript - after transpilation to javascript
• Browserify: compile and bundle your code
• Copy: copy your build bits that needs no transformation; your style assets and i18n files
• Compass: compile your sass to bundled css, 'compressed' style
• Create build brief: generate 'build.json' file containing the build details
• Template: substitute build targets and - for cache-busting reasons - a build-run identifier into your app's main entry point ('index.html')
• Uglify: minify your compiled and bundled code
• Karma: test your build
• YuiDoc: generate your code's documentation
• Compress: create your distribution artifacts in 'dist/'; a zip file containing your minified app, and a zip file containing your app's documenation

• Create build brief: generate 'build.json' file containing the build details

• Compress: create your distribution artifacts in 'dist/'; a zip file containing your as-is app in debugging mode

This task does a local, debugging, all-parts (except documentation), as-is build, and keeps a close watch on filesystem changes. It will run the following tasks:

• Clean: remove your previously built build results from the distribution artifact destination directory ('dist/')
• Coffeelint: delint your coffeescript - before transpilation to javascript
• Coffee_jshint: delint your coffeescript - after transpilation to javascript
• Browserify: compile and bundle your code in debugging mode; generates source maps
• Copy: copy your build bits that needs no transformation; your style assets and i18n files
• Compass: compile your sass to bundled css, 'nested' style; generate source maps

• Watch: Keeps a close watch on filesystem changes, selectively re-triggering tasks as needed.
