## theanalyst.com Feed

The public Opta Analyst website (theanalyst.com) uses a static feed key that provides access to Perform's soccerdata API.

## Data Availability

- Premier League seasons available back to 1901/02
- Per-match detail is **not** uniform across that range. How far back structured
  per-match data goes varies by competition and era: top-flight European leagues
  reach full per-match detail much later than their earliest listed season, and
  continental, international, lower-tier and youth competitions later still or not
  at all. Probe the specific competition-season you need rather than assuming
  parity with the earliest season shown
- xG (q321) and xGOT (q322) available on `matchexpectedgoals` endpoint only (NOT on standard `matchevent`)
- Pass matrix includes average positions for all players

## Limitations

- This is an unofficial access path via theanalyst.com's frontend key
- No SLA or guaranteed uptime
- Token could be rotated at any time
- xG is not on `matchevent`; use q321 from `matchexpectedgoals` (q213 is the pass angle, not xG)
- Data redistribution likely prohibited under Stats Perform terms
