### Custom Errors Over Require Strings

Custom errors with parameters aid debugging while saving ~50 gas per revert vs require strings.

### Immutable and Constant

Use `immutable` for values set at construction. Use `constant` for compile-time known values. Both avoid SLOAD entirely.

### NatSpec Documentation

Every external/public function MUST have NatSpec:

### Event Emission

Emit events for every state change. Include both old and new values where relevant:

Index up to 3 parameters that users will filter by. Use `indexed` for addresses and identifiers.

## Token Pitfalls Reference

| Token | Issue | Mitigation |
|-------|-------|-----------|
| **USDC/USDT** | 6 decimals, not 18 | Never assume 18 decimals. Use `IERC20Metadata.decimals()` |
| **USDT** | `transfer` returns no bool | Use `SafeERC20.safeTransfer` — handles missing return |
| **Fee-on-transfer** | Received amount < sent amount | Measure balance before/after: `balAfter - balBefore` |
| **Rebasing (stETH)** | Balance changes without transfers | Use wrapped version (wstETH) or track shares, not balances |
| **ERC-777** | `tokensReceived` hook enables reentrancy | Use `nonReentrant` on all token-receiving functions |
| **Pausable tokens** | Transfers can be blocked | Handle gracefully; don't assume transfers always succeed |
| **Blocklisted (USDC)** | Specific addresses blocked from transfer | Cannot bypass; document the limitation |

- [ ] Custom errors used everywhere (no literal `require` strings)
- [ ] `immutable` for constructor-set values, `constant` for compile-time values
- [ ] Checks-effects-interactions ordering in every state-changing function
- [ ] `SafeERC20` used for all ERC-20 interactions
- [ ] Events emitted for every state change with indexed parameters
- [ ] No hardcoded addresses — use immutables or constructor params
- [ ] `nonReentrant` modifier on functions with external calls
- [ ] Named imports only (`import {X} from "..."`)
- [ ] No floating pragma — use exact version `pragma solidity 0.8.24;`
- [ ] `forge fmt` passes with no changes
- [ ] `forge build` compiles with zero warnings
- [ ] Test coverage > 90% for the contract (`forge coverage`)
