## What this project does NOT do

The Apache-2.0 grant above covers **the source code of this project**, and nothing else.
On top of that, the project deliberately stays out of several areas:

- **It does not upload your screen anywhere.** Frames are captured locally, scored locally,
packed locally, and handed to the model only as an attachment you asked for.
There is no analytics endpoint, no telemetry, no remote copy of the picture.
- **It does not record continuously.** Frames are scored as they arrive and most are thrown
away before anything is encoded; only the ones that pass the cut/floor test reach the sheet.
- **No capture driver is bundled.** `ddagrab` / `gdigrab` / your camera device come from the
`ffmpeg` build you installed. What you are allowed to capture is governed by your OS and by
whatever is on screen — not by this package.
- **No TTS engine is bundled.** Speech goes through the host's voice adapter or whatever
`edge-tts` / system engine you installed.
- **You are responsible for what you point it at.** Pointing it at a call, a DRM-protected
player or someone else's private screen is your call and your responsibility.

## Third-party components

Nothing third-party is vendored into this repository. At runtime the package *uses*, but does
not redistribute:

| Component | How it is used | Licence |
|---|---|---|
| `ffmpeg` / `ffprobe` | external binaries on your `PATH` (capture, decode, encode) | LGPL/GPL (your build) |
| Python + tkinter | only for the optional floating window | PSF |
| `mss` / `numpy` / `Pillow` | optional Python deps of the floating window | MIT / BSD / HPND |
| `dsh-watch-together` | source of `examples/floating-chat/` (same author, same licence) | Apache-2.0 |

`examples/floating-chat/` is generated from the sibling project `dsh-watch-together` and is
distributed under the same Apache-2.0 terms as the rest of this package — there is no longer a
separate licence carve-out for that directory.

## Documentation media

Screenshots shipped with the package were taken by the author on his own machine. No third-party
footage, model weights or binaries are redistributed in this repository.
