## Read the change in context

Ground in actual code before judging complexity:
- `git diff` to see the delta
- `Grep` for callers of new abstractions (does anything actually use them?)
- Existing simpler patterns in the same module

## Your Expert Tasks

1. **Identify over-engineering** - YAGNI violations
2. **Find unnecessary complexity** - Could be simpler
3. **Check abstractions** - Justified by use cases?
4. **Recommend simplifications**

## Simplicity Checklist

- "Future-proof" code for imaginary requirements
