Variant + style (font / icon size) apply both to the public navbar and the admin sidebar. The position field only affects the public navbar - the admin sidebar's position is fixed by the admin shell. Footer columns ignore everything here.

Vertical stacks the items into a column - a docked side rail in the navbar slot, an indented list for [menu] and floating panels. Below 993px the navbar always falls back to the mobile drawer.
Where the items sit along a horizontal menu. On the public navbar the default is centre, measured on the bar itself rather than on the room left beside the brand. A [menu] in the page body packs left unless you choose otherwise. Vertical menus and the mobile drawer ignore this.
What an item does under the pointer. Applies wherever this menu is drawn - navbar, footer, [menu] and the admin sidebar. Any single item can override this in its own editor, under Highlighting.

Used by the colour, underline, overline, tint, glow and pill effects. The underline and overline effects fall back to the item's own text colour when this is unset.

A binding lets this menu take over a slot for part of the site instead of being mapped to it everywhere. Pick the slot, then say where it applies - a project, a list of page URLs, or both. On matching pages this menu replaces whatever Menu locations maps to that slot; everywhere else the mapped menu still renders. The most specific match wins: an exact page URL beats a wildcard, which beats a project.

Leave unset for no binding - this menu then only renders where it is mapped or where a [menu] shortcode places it.
Applies on every page belonging to the selected projects. Ctrl/Cmd-click to select more than one.
One URL path per line. A trailing /* matches that page and everything beneath it (/docs/*), and /* matches the whole site.
