# CLValue.newCLString

Creates a CLValue of type `String`.

## Import

```ts
import { CLValue } from 'casper-js-sdk';
```

## Usage

```ts
const value = CLValue.newCLString('hello world');
```

## Parameters

### val

- **Type:** `string`

A UTF-8 string.

## Return Value

`CLValue` with `clType = CLType.String`.

## Example

```ts
const args = Args.fromMap({
  name: CLValue.newCLString('MyToken'),

```
