# AxisAPI Documentation
The AxisAPI is used to establish a connection with a QlikSense server and get information from it.  It is used in tandem with [Qlik's Engine API](http://help.qlik.com/sense/2.0/en-US/developer/)  to create objects, make selections, and anything else you would do inside of a native QlikSense application.

The following snippet shows how to:

1) Connect to the Sense Server

2) Open an application

3) Create a session object
