# Traffic Lights

## What to look for
- **Signal housing** — rectangular or circular metal/plastic box containing lights
- **Three colored circles** — red, yellow, green arranged vertically or horizontally
- **Pole/mount** — vertical or horizontal pole holding the signal
- **Visor/hood** — small overhang above each light
- **LED pattern** — modern lights have grid-like LED patterns

## Common false positives (DO NOT select)
- Street lamps (single light, no colored circles)
- Car brake lights / headlights
- Neon signs or building lights
- Christmas decorations or string lights
- Reflective surfaces that look like lights

## 3x3 grid specific (larger tiles, zoomed out view)
- In 3x3 grids, tiles are zoomed out so traffic lights appear SMALLER than in 4x4 grids
- Even tiny traffic lights in the distance or at the edge of a tile MUST be counted
- If you see just the pole with a small box on top, that's still a traffic light
- When in doubt about a small distant object that could be a traffic light — count it
- 3x3 grids typically have 2-4 tiles with traffic lights (not just 1-2)

## Edge cases
- Traffic light at angle — still count if housing + at least one light visible
- Pedestrian signal (walk/don't walk) — usually counts as traffic light
- Traffic light far away — small but still has the distinctive shape
- Multiple signals on one pole — select the tile
