We are using a photo service called SmugMug to host images that come collectively from EOS'ers without forcing them to be on Facebook, Instagram, or whatever.
Everyone will have access to upload what they like and share with your fellow alumni without needing to care what social network folks are on. You will also be able to not only view the gallery, an online slideshow, but also download any/all photos in all their uncompressed glory (unlike the social networks which use heavy compression so they save space and your memory is retained in a watered down fashion).
You can use the link in the upper right below to open a new tab in your browser with the user interface to upload.
Hopefully the user interface in this new tab is clear but the idea is that you drag and drop or use the photo picker to choose pictures to upload. When you've added what you want, just press the "done" button and the photos will be uploaded and should then be visible on this page very quickly.
I know "meta data" isn't an exciting term but it's worth noting that the any meta data that's included in your photos will be used in the presentation of the photos. Typically this just means the title and description of the photo but can also include geography info if the photo was taken by a modern phone.
The key here is that you try and get that meta data into the photo before you upload it. Yes ... it is possible that it can be changed post-facto ... but it then falls on the shoulders of others. Others who are currently creating this site and not really looking forward to being your admin bitch. So think before you upload.
The following links will get you the EOS photos you never knew existed but always secretly suspected someone was hiding from you. They were hiding them but ... no longer. The gig is up.
Now if you're a big fan of the site and the idea of leaving it just to see some photos seems like a gross dereliction of duties then you can always toggle over to the inline view using the button above.
