# Journal Knowledge Base

This directory is Journal-Yuga's local venue memory.

Lookup order for Journal-Yuga agents:

1. Read `knowledge/journals/journal_yuga_venue_database.md` first when it exists.
2. Read local dossier files in `knowledge/journals/*.md`.
3. Read the curated index in `knowledge/journals/index.yaml`.
4. Use web search only when local knowledge is insufficient.

The venue database is the primary routing source. The index is intentionally editable as a fallback. Add new journals by extending the database when possible, and by appending entries to `index.yaml` plus creating a dossier from `_template.md` when a compact dossier is needed.

Do not treat seed entries as verified current bibliographic facts. Quartile, indexation, APC, and policy fields must be verified during a real submission task.
