# @videojs/media

## Overview

`@videojs/media` provides the media contracts, state types, DOM hosts, and playback engine adapters
used by Video.js packages.

Runtime-agnostic media APIs are exported from `@videojs/media`. Browser-specific APIs and playback
engines are available from the `@videojs/media/dom` subpaths.
