# Targeted business research

Use research to resolve specific gaps in the business interpretation: what is sold, who it serves, how engagement works, and which claims have usable evidence. Start with captured source copy; consult official business pages or attributable primary sources when necessary.

Save relevant excerpts and their source URLs in a local evidence file, then cite that file from business.json. Keep observation dates for changing information. Distinguish a published claim, an inference, a third-party review, and an unknown. A review count or star rating must have current attributable evidence before entering public copy.

Do not broaden this into an unrelated SEO or social-media audit. A completed boolean is not acceptance; the business contract and independent factual review decide whether evidence is sufficient. Never invent missing contact information, prices, credentials, service areas, outcomes, or booking behavior.
