# receiveTransferOrder

## Overview

Receives the in-transit lines of an OPEN Transfer Order, moving IN_TRANSIT stock into the destination site's AVAILABLE balance and setting each line's `receivedQuantity`. The status stays OPEN — receiving never auto-closes the order. It is a separate, explicit action driven from the transfer-order detail action panel and is offered only while in-transit stock exists (`shipped > received`).

| INVENTORY_TRANSFER_ORDER_NOT_FOUND | The specified transfer order does not exist |
| INVENTORY_INVALID_STATE_TRANSITION | The transfer order is not in OPEN |
