# item-management

## Overview

Manages the item master data — SKU-level entities that are referenced by purchase orders, inbound shipments, invoices, and inventory. Items are created and immediately activated for use in procurement workflows. Creation rejects duplicate SKUs so item identity stays stable across procurement and inventory records.
