# ForgeOS — Licensing ForgeOS is a **self-hosted, local-first** product, not a hosted SaaS: no usage tiers, no per-seat metering, no hosted engine. You run the engine yourself and all data stays with you. - Single commercial, self-hosted license — no feature-gating by tier. - Team / org features are self-hosted and opt-in (`FORGEOS_TEAM_MODE`), not a paid add-on. The Federation Hub is an optional service you host yourself. - No phone-home: telemetry off by default; every outbound feature is opt-in and fails closed unless pointed at a server you control.
