# Project identity and attribution

SmarterGPT was founded by Joseph Gustavson (Guffawaffle). Keep applicable copyright,
license and NOTICE information with redistributions as required by their licenses.

Truthful references to AXF, SmarterGPT and Guffawaffle, including descriptions
of compatibility and a fork's origin, are welcome. Identify modified distributions
and forks accurately; do not imply maintainer endorsement or present them as an
official release. No registered-trademark status is asserted here.

Apache-2.0 section 6 governs trademark permissions. This policy adds no field-of-use,
commercial-use, fork, hosted-service or mandatory user-interface badge restriction
to the code license. Separate permission is needed for branding that implies official
endorsement; it is not needed for the truthful attribution described above.
