# Oozie Server

[Oozie Server][Oozie] is a server based Workflow Engine specialized in running workflow jobs.
Workflows are basically collections of actions.
These actions can be  Hadoop Map/Reduce jobs, Pig jobs arranged in a control dependency DAG (Direct Acyclic Graph).
