# /rootcx:login

Authenticate with RootCX using device code flow.

## Instructions

1. Run the device authentication flow using the CLI:
   ```bash
   npx @rootcx/cli login
   ```

2. The CLI will:
   - Display a device code
   - Open your browser to the RootCX login page
   - Wait for you to authorize the device

3. Once authorized, your credentials will be saved to `~/.rootcx/credentials.json`

4. After login, you can use other RootCX commands and the MCP tools will have access to your organization's data.

## Alternative: Manual Authentication

If the CLI is not available, you can authenticate manually:

1. Go to https://rootcx.com/cli
2. Follow the authentication flow
3. Copy the credentials to `~/.rootcx/credentials.json`

## Verification

After logging in, run `/rootcx:status` to verify your authentication status.
