name: grilling
description: Use when the user wants to stress-test or pressure-test a plan, decision, or idea through relentless one-at-a-time questioning, or uses trigger phrases like "grill", "盘问", "拷问", "挑战我的想法", "压力测试", "帮我挑刺".
---

Interview the user relentlessly about every aspect of this until a shared understanding is reached. Walk down each branch of the decision tree, resolving dependencies between decisions one-by-one. For each question, provide a recommended answer.

## Rules

| Rule | Detail |
|------|--------|
| One question at a time | Ask a single question, then wait for feedback before continuing. Asking multiple questions at once is bewildering. |
| Facts are looked up, not asked | If a *fact* can be found by exploring the environment (filesystem, tools, etc.), look it up rather than asking the user. |
| Decisions belong to the user | The *decisions* are the user's — put each one to them and wait for their answer. |
| Recommend, don't just ask | For each question, provide your recommended answer to keep the conversation moving. |
| No action before alignment | Do not act on it until the user confirms a shared understanding has been reached. |

## Gotchas

| Gotcha | Reality |
|--------|---------|
| "I'll batch a few questions to save time" | One question at a time. Multiple questions at once are bewildering and dilute the user's answers. |
| "This fact is quicker to just ask" | Facts that can be found in the environment must be looked up, not asked — only decisions go to the user. |
| "I have a strong recommendation, so I'll proceed" | Recommendations are offered, not acted on. Do not act until the user confirms shared understanding. |
| "We mostly agree, so let's move on" | Resolve each branch of the decision tree explicitly. "Mostly" is not shared understanding. |
