The North Hall renovation remains on schedule. The contractor finished the west stairwell on 12 September and began electrical work on the second floor on 15 September. The project team expects the second-floor inspection on 3 October.

The project has made significant progress across multiple areas. The west stairwell is complete, electrical work is underway, and the inspection date has been confirmed. These milestones demonstrate the team's dedication and commitment to quality.

The reading room will close from 22 September through 26 September while crews replace the ventilation controls. Visitors can use the South Hall reading room during that period. The project budget remains £480,000, including the £22,000 ventilation-control replacement. The team has spent £301,500 through 18 September.
