# North Hall renovation — 18 September

The project remains on schedule. The contractor finished the west stairwell on 12 September and began second-floor electrical work on 15 September. The inspection is planned for 3 October.

The reading room will close from 22 to 26 September while crews replace the ventilation controls. Visitors can use the South Hall reading room during the closure.

The budget is £480,000, including £22,000 for the ventilation controls. Spending through 18 September is £301,500. The next update will be published on 30 September.
