Lingua Commercial License — Personal and Evaluation Use

Lingua is a commercial desktop and web application. This repository is made
available publicly to support evaluation, transparency, security review, and
contributor collaboration. It is NOT distributed under an open-source license.

1. Definitions

   "Software" means the Lingua source code, compiled artifacts, assets, and
   documentation contained in this repository and any build produced from it.

   "Licensor" means the copyright holder named above.

   "You" means the individual or entity exercising the rights granted by this
   license.

   "Evaluation" means personal, non-production use for the purpose of
   understanding, reviewing, reporting bugs, or proposing changes to the
   Software.

2. Grant — evaluation and personal use

   Subject to compliance with this license, Licensor grants You a worldwide,
   royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

   a. read, copy, and modify the Software source for Evaluation;
   b. build and run the Software locally for personal, non-commercial use;
   c. submit patches, bug reports, and derivative improvements back to
      Licensor through the repository's normal contribution channels.

   Production, paid, educational-at-scale, or commercial use requires a
   separate paid license purchased from Licensor (see `linguacode.dev`).

3. Restrictions

   You may NOT:

   a. redistribute, host, sell, sublicense, or relicense the Software or any
      substantial portion of it;
   b. remove or obscure copyright notices, license text, or product branding;
   c. use the Software to provide a hosted or managed service offering that
      competes with Licensor's commercial product;
   d. use the Licensor's name, logo, or trademarks except as required for
      fair attribution of contributions.

4. Contributions

   By submitting a patch, pull request, or other contribution, You grant
   Licensor a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable
   license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sublicense, and
   incorporate Your contribution into the Software under this license or any
   future license Licensor chooses for the Software.

5. No warranty

   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
   IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
   FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL
   THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR
   OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE,
   ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR
   OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

6. Commercial licensing

   Public tiers (Free, Monthly, Pro, Team, Education) and their
   entitlements are documented at `linguacode.dev/pricing`. Commercial
   and production use requires a valid commercial license.

7. Termination

   This license terminates automatically upon any breach. Upon termination You
   must cease using and destroy all copies of the Software that You control.

8. Jurisdiction

   This license is governed by the laws of the Licensor's country of
   residence, without reference to conflict-of-law principles.
