## 0.1.0

First public release of Vestigium, previously the private `design-continuity` skill.

- Portable design guidance and references for Codex, Claude Code, and Pi.
- Dependency-free npm installer with persistent copies and explicit backups for replacement.
- Native Pi package metadata.
- Private review records and machine-specific integrations excluded from distribution.

## Publish a release

1. Update `package.json` and the lockfile, and describe the change here.
2. Run `npm test` and inspect `npm pack --dry-run`. Verify that only the intended skill, installer, package metadata, README, and license ship.
3. Run `npm pack --pack-destination <temporary-directory>`. Install that exact archive into a temporary prefix and test the CLI and agent folders.
4. Commit the reviewed source, push it, and publish the tested archive with `npm publish <archive> --access public` using normal npm authentication. Never put credentials in the repository.
5. Wait for the version to become available in the public npm registry. A successful upload may precede registry availability.
6. Download the registry archive and compare its integrity with the tested archive. Smoke-test a fresh installation.
7. Create a matching Git tag and GitHub release. Include the archive and a SHA-256 checksum.

Packaging checks validate installation and completeness. Changes to design guidance also need a representative interface review; do not advertise unmeasured quality improvements.
