Reject duplicate validation, one-call helpers, boolean modes, primitive obsession, variant `if` chains, catch/rethrow noise, speculative fallback, hidden mutation/global state, wide interfaces, oversized modules, narrating comments, private-structure tests. Fix only scoped smells; lock behavior first.
