 * A real `<select>`.
 *
 * **When to reach for this rather than {@link Select}**, because having two is otherwise a trap:
 *
 * - **`NativeSelect`** gets the platform's own picker — the iOS wheel, Android's dialog, the OS
 * dropdown. On a phone that is a better control than any custom listbox, it works with no
 * JavaScript, and it is the right default inside a long form.
 * - **`Select`** is the custom listbox. Reach for it when the options need icons, descriptions,
 * grouping with custom rows, or a searchable list — things a native `<option>` cannot render,
 * since it may contain text and nothing else.
 *
 * From Figma's `.input-dropdown`. The chevron is `aria-hidden` decoration layered over the select,
 * because the native control draws its own on some platforms and suppressing that is not possible
 * everywhere; `appearance-none` removes it where it can.
