# Rename a chat

**PUT** `/v1/chats/{chatId}/title`

**Operation ID**: `rename`
**Summary**: Rename a chat
Replaces the chat's display title with a user-chosen one, clamped to the same length as a derived title. Does not reorder the chat list. Returns 202 immediately.
