A DOCUMENTARY about the life of Heath Ledger is set to be released later this month, featuring never-before-seen footage of the late actor and interviews with his family, friends and colleagues.

Titled I Am Heath Ledger, the film will debut at New York\"s Tribeca Film Festival on April 23. The first trailer was released yesterday - on what would have been the actor\"s 38th birthday - and shows his friend, musician Ben Harper describing Ledger as \"the most alive person\". The director Ang Lee - who worked with the actor on Brokeback Mountain - added \"Even as a supporting actor he will steal the whole show, that is the power of Heath Ledger.\"

The documentary comes ahead of an exhibition opening at the Western Australian Museum in his native Perth this October, which will detail the life of Ledger, who passed away following an accidental overdose in 2008.
