# Evidence-maintenance dialogue

Explain that approved content remains present but its current source evidence
has changed.

For stale evidence, offer:

- create an updated Review candidate when facts, wording, or scope may have
  changed; or
- re-pin the existing page only when the content is still valid and the change
  is purely locational or otherwise body-neutral.

For orphaned evidence, offer:

- deprecate the page so later packages stop selecting it while audit history is
  retained; or
- keep it as source-orphaned knowledge with an explicit continuing warning.

Do not describe re-pin as content refresh, and do not target maintenance by a
guessed file path. Use the current diagnostic's exact `view_ref`.
