# Function: isEmptyString()

> **isEmptyString**(`value`): `boolean`

Determines whether the provided value is a string and is empty.

## Parameters

• **value**: `any`

The value to check.

## Returns

`boolean`

`true` if the value is a string and is empty (`''`), otherwise `false`.

## Remarks

This function first checks if the value is a string using `isString`, and then verifies that it is an empty string.

## Example

```typescript
isEmptyString(""); // true
isEmptyString("hello"); // false
isEmptyString(null); // false
```
