# No slop: final check

Answer each with pass or fail. Fix every fail, then check again.

## Detect

1. Does each finding give the pattern number and name, a quoted line, and a short fix?
2. Is there no rewrite, no score, and no claim about who wrote the text?

## Edit, Write, File, Embedded

Meaning
1. Does every fact, name, number, date, quote, citation, and ranking survive, unless a pattern called for cutting it?
2. Is nothing added that the source or the user did not supply (opinions in a personal voice excepted)? In Write, does every command, option, and behavior match the code or docs you checked?

Voice
3. Would the writer recognize it as theirs: vocabulary, cadence, bluntness, humor, doubt, asides, level of polish? Matches the sample, if one was given?
4. Were strong human sentences left alone, and is the cutting proportional to the slop actually present?
5. Is the structure kept unless it hurt the piece, with any move explained in What changed?

Patterns
6. No contrast (1), closer, kicker, or recap ending (2), saying (3), run-up or rhetorical setup (4), faux insight or colon reveal (5), reader-steering aside (6), or argument with no one (7) left?
7. No forced triad (8), repeated shape (9), or synonym cycling (10)?
8. No em dash, en dash, or ` -- ` dash outside code, unless the sample uses them?
9. Words in pattern 15's first list gone unless quoted; inflation, -ing riders, sales language, and unnamed authority replaced by plain facts or flagged to the user (16 to 21)?
10. No decorative bold, bold-label lists, bullets that should be prose, emoji, or Title Case headings (22, 23)?
11. No chatbot wrapper, knowledge-limit guess, or text about the document itself (25 to 28)?
12. In a reply, does the decision come first (29)?

Final read
13. Read aloud, does it sound like a person talking to a sharp colleague, with varied sentence length?
14. Are code, commands, paths, metadata, and link targets byte for byte unchanged?
15. Is the output in the shape the job asked for?
