- Find existing doc surface (README, `docs/`, ADRs); update *adjacent* pages first.
- Keep examples copy-pasteable and match CLI flags/env names literally.
- If behavior is nuanced, prefer a tiny “migration” or checklist over long prose.
- Link or cross-reference touched modules so future edits stay discoverable.
