# `@asm-agent/contracts`

The TypeBox definitions in `src/schemas.ts` are the canonical source for ASM
Agent wire contracts. `npm run generate` emits portable JSON Schema and Python
dataclass representations. Generated files must not be edited manually.

Major versions are compatibility boundaries. Minor versions are negotiated to
the highest mutually supported value, and optional behavior additionally
requires a named capability. Peers must not send fields from a newer minor
until that minor and its capability have both been negotiated.
