# Governance

pi-meat uses lightweight single-maintainer governance.

## Maintainer

`@arro000` owns roadmap, security response, releases, repository administration, and final merge decisions.

## Decisions

- Small fixes: pull-request discussion and maintainer review.
- Material UX, protocol, privacy, dependency, or compatibility changes: public issue or design discussion before implementation.
- Security matters: private process in [SECURITY.md](SECURITY.md).
- Maintainer may reject changes that increase risk, maintenance burden, or product scope without sufficient benefit.

## Contributions

Contributors retain copyright to their work and license it under Apache-2.0 when submitted. Contribution does not automatically grant maintainer or release authority.

## Succession

If project can no longer be maintained, maintainer may appoint successor, transfer repository/package ownership, archive project, or invite maintained fork. Ownership transfer must preserve license, attribution, release history, and security advisories.
