# Episode and scene craft

## Dramatic units

Each scene has a playable objective, resistance, turn, and exit condition. Convert exposition into visible action, dialogue, props, or blocking. Preserve the source's causal spine when adapting, but change the delivery to fit performance.

## Episode budget

Allocate duration before writing. Reserve time for action and reaction, not only plot facts. A short episode should end on a changed situation, decision, discovery, or pressure that follows from the episode rather than a generic teaser.

## Production clarity

Keep locations, cast, props, and difficult effects legible. If the user supplies budget or staging constraints, solve creatively inside them instead of silently discarding required beats.
