TabMind is built on a simple principle: your browsing data is yours.
This policy explains what the extension does and doesn't do, in plain English.
What TabMind collects
Nothing leaves your device. Ever.
Tab titles and URLs. TabMind reads the titles and URLs of your open
tabs so it can group them into workspaces, spot duplicates, and tell which
tabs have gone stale. This information is processed locally in your browser
and is never transmitted anywhere.
Usage timestamps. TabMind records when each tab was last viewed so the
stale-tab archive works. Stored only on your device.
Your settings. Archive threshold, digest time, AI preference, and theme.
Stored only on your device.
Archived tabs. Tabs you choose to archive are saved in on-device
extension storage so you can search and restore them. Stored only on your
device.
What TabMind does NOT do
No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection.
No analytics, crash reporters, or telemetry of any kind.
No network requests — the extension makes zero HTTP calls, to us or anyone
else. It works fully offline.
No advertising, affiliate links, or data selling.
TabMind never reads the contents of your pages — only tab titles and URLs.
The optional AI naming uses Chrome's built-in on-device model
(Gemini Nano via the LanguageModel API) when your machine supports it. That
processing also happens entirely on your device. If the model isn't
available, TabMind falls back to local rules.
Data retention and deletion
All data lives in Chrome's on-device extension storage
(chrome.storage.local). Uninstalling TabMind permanently deletes everything.
There is nothing on any server to delete because nothing was ever sent.
Permissions, in plain English
tabs — see your open tabs' titles/URLs to organize them.
tabGroups — create and manage Chrome tab groups for workspaces.
storage — save your settings and archive on this device.
alarms — run the end-of-day digest at the time you choose.
sidePanel — show TabMind's interface in Chrome's side panel.

Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will ship with the extension
and the "last updated" date above will change. Because TabMind has no way to
contact you (no accounts, no email), please check here occasionally.
