## Grant of License

Instituto Malleus Dei ("Licensor") grants you ("Licensee") a **non-exclusive, non-transferable, commercial license** to use the software plugins contained in this repository ("Software"), subject to the terms and conditions below.

## Permitted Uses

With a valid license, you MAY: 

✅ **Install** the Software on client websites after purchasing a license  
✅ **Modify** the Software's configuration and styling for your specific needs  
✅ **Deploy** the Software on unlimited domains registered under your license  
✅ **Include** the Software in client projects you develop professionally  
✅ **Customize** appearance through provided configuration options

## Restrictions

You MAY NOT: 

❌ **Resell** the Software as a standalone product  
❌ **Redistribute** the Software in any form (source or compiled)  
❌ **Sublicense** the Software to third parties  
❌ **Remove** or modify licensing, attribution, or copyright notices  
❌ **Reverse engineer** the licensing mechanism  
❌ **Create derivative works** for redistribution  
❌ **Use** on unlicensed domains without activation  
❌ **Share** license keys with unauthorized parties

## Activation & Verification

The Software includes a licensing mechanism that: 

1. **Verifies** your domain is registered with Instituto Malleus Dei
2. **Checks** license status on plugin initialization
3. **Enforces** license terms through technical measures
4. **Reports** anonymous usage statistics (domain verification only)

**Privacy:** We only collect: 
- ✅ Domain name (for license verification)
- ✅ Plugin version number
- ✅ Activation timestamp

**We DO NOT collect:**
- ❌ User personal information
- ❌ Website content or data
- ❌ Visitor analytics
- ❌ Business information

## Development & Testing

### Free Use for Development

You MAY use the Software **without a license** on:
- `localhost` (any port)
- `*.local` domains
- `staging-*.squarespace.com`
- `*.sqsp.com`

**Limitation:** Development versions display a watermark and have limited functionality.

## Support & Updates

### Included with License

- ❌ **Phone/Video Support:** Available with Enterprise license only

## Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

## Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL INSTITUTO MALLEUS DEI BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE. 

**Maximum Liability:** Licensor's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the license.

## Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term.  Upon termination, you must: 

1. **Cease** all use of the Software
2. **Remove** the Software from all websites
3. **Destroy** all copies in your possession

## Refund Policy

- **30-day money-back guarantee** for Individual licenses
- **7-day trial period** for Agency and Enterprise licenses
- Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
- Must provide reason for refund request

## Governing Law

This license shall be governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
